Meta Zero

The prefix “meta” originates from the Greek word metá (μετά), meaning “between,” “after,” “next,” or “beyond.” In chemistry, it is also used to distinguish the relative positions of substituents in aromatic compounds.

The English word metamorphosis, meaning transformation, is likewise formed from meta (“after” or “change”) and morphosis (“formation” or “transformation”). It suggests that a winged insect does not assume its final form from the beginning, but is first born as a larva and undergoes transformation at a later stage.

As a keyword, “Meta” represents the boundless potential of humanity extending beyond science and into the realms of space and the universe. Although “Meta” and “Zero” appear to contradict one another in meaning, their combination, MetaZero, creates an artistic ambiguity born from that tension. Though distinct, beginning and end ultimately connect to form an infinite space—an idea that resonates with the essential nature of art.
